# Building the machine behind a human service

> A concierge who remembers every conversation needs a system that does. Between January and September 2026 Binga built one, on the edge, in the open.

The promise of a concierge is memory. You told us your budget in March; we should not ask again in June. You messaged on WhatsApp on Sunday night; the person who calls you Monday should know. Most agencies keep that memory in one person's head. Binga decided to keep it in a system, so that any of the three concierges can pick up any file.

## Four products in one

By July 2026 the platform had settled into four parts. A public site with the catalogue, the development showcase and the lead forms. A concierge console covering the whole journey: lead, tenant profile, vetting, matching, term sheet, agreement, handover, plus owner onboarding and a property pipeline that publishes straight into the public catalogue. A marketing engine: analytics, Meta and Google conversion tracking, two commerce catalogues with server-rendered ad creatives, an ad-lead approval queue. And, from 10 July 2026, a customer data platform of our own at track.binga.mv.

## Why build a CDP

Because the alternative was three spreadsheets that disagreed about who you were. The tracker ingests website behaviour, WhatsApp conversations and calls into one event graph, resolves anonymous visitors into one profile by matching phone numbers and emails the same way the CRM does, links them to the tenant or owner record, and tells the concierge what happened last. It knows whether you are browsing from Malé, a resort, a local island or abroad. It joins ad spend to the enquiries that came from it. It is what lets one concierge hold a hundred searches without dropping one.

## The parts that came after

Each month added a piece, and each is its own launch note: the email engine (August), the referral programme and the contact book (September), one synchronised address book across the team's phones, session replays and cross-site journeys, a daily insights snapshot delivered at eight every morning, and the identity guards that stop two different people from ever being merged into one record.

## Constraints we chose

Everything runs on Cloudflare's edge, in the Maldives' time zone, within a few small services that each do one thing. The public catalogue is mirrored to the edge every five minutes so a page loads in milliseconds even if the source system is down. The operational data lives in spreadsheets the team can open. And every feature has to fit inside strict size limits, which is a healthy discipline: when the console hit its ceiling, the answer was to build the next thing as its own service rather than make the console heavier. This news site is one of those.

None of this is visible to a tenant. That is the point. The front of the house feels like hospitality; the back of the house is software.
