FW Residence is one of the Hulhumalé buildings where a household can spend a full day well without going further than the lift.

## Friday, early

The building's gym is the first stop for the people who like to have exercised before the heat arrives. Afterwards, the balcony. On the sunrise side of the building, facing Central Park, the morning light arrives straight into the living room.

Breakfast does not require a shopping trip. The convenience store is in the building, so the forgotten milk or bread is a short lift ride rather than an errand.

## The middle of the day

Families with young children tend to organise the late morning around the play area. It is inside the building's secured perimeter, behind access-card entry and CCTV, which lets parents relax in a way they cannot on a public street. Older children go to the pool.

Lunch can be at home or downstairs. The catalogue lists both a restaurant and a café in the building, which changes the rhythm of a weekend: a family can eat out without planning it, and a visitor can be met for coffee without being invited upstairs. On a hot afternoon that matters.

Inside the flat, the three-bathroom plans take the pressure off shared mornings and busy weekends. With three bedrooms, one room often becomes a study or a guest room, and the separate laundry area keeps the washing out of the living space.

## Working from home

For a tenant who works remotely some days, the building has an unusual advantage: the day's small breaks are all within reach. The open-plan living rooms in the corner homes are bright enough to work in without the lights on for much of the day; a quieter bedroom with its own split air-conditioning makes a good office when the household is home.

## Evening

The evenings belong to the balconies and the pool. On the channel side, the sun sets over the lagoon, the arched bridge and the open sea, and the pool at dusk is the natural end to a weekend. Garbage disposal on each floor means the evening's clearing up ends at the corridor rather than the street.

Visitor arrangements are straightforward: the intercom handles guests at the door, and parking is provided for cars or motorbikes.

## Who this suits

The pattern suits households that value time over square footage: a family with small children, an expatriate couple who work partly from home, three colleagues sharing a fully furnished flat. It is less suited to someone who wants to be on a busy street with shops outside the front door; FW Residence brings the essentials inside instead. Tell the concierge how your week actually runs, and they will say plainly whether this building fits it.
