How we report
The rules every piece on this site follows, and how to hold us to them.
Principles
Reported, sourced, dated and plain. Developers are covered whether or not they list with Binga. Headlines are informative, never urgent. We write for the reader deciding where to live or what to buy, not for the seller.
Verification and sources
Facts come from, in order of trust: the developer's own published brief and sales office; Housing Development Corporation (HDC) announcements; the Ministry of Housing, Land and Urban Development; the Government Gazette; bank rate pages; Binga's own inspections, lettings and offers; listing portals for market signals only. Every number needs two sources or a named one. Every price carries a date and says whether it is an asking price or an achieved one. A fact we cannot verify is left out; each draft carries a list of outstanding checks and cannot be published until the list is empty. Each article ends with its sources.
Ethics and independence
Binga Properties is a real-estate concierge; it may represent homes and developments mentioned here. Partnerships are labelled and never buy a number or a verdict; the editor, not a partner, decides what is published. We do not name or picture private individuals: tenants and owners are never identified. Photographs are our own or supplied by developers with permission. Rules and rates pieces are general information and are reviewed before publishing; they are not legal or financial advice.
Corrections
We correct errors of fact promptly. The article is amended, its updated date changes, and a correction note at the foot says what changed and when. Write to hello@binga.mv with the link and what is wrong.
Feedback and right of reply
Developers, agents and readers can reply to any piece. Developers mentioned in coverage are offered the chance to respond, and substantive responses are added to the piece. Send news through Send us your launch.
Technology and AI
The desk uses software, including AI tools, to draft from the Binga catalogue and our records. Every piece is checked against its sources and the outstanding-checks list before it is published, and a person is responsible for each one. Dhivehi editions are translated by a person, not only by a model.
