Bayfancy poured its 18th-floor slab on 23 September 2025 and declared the superstructure complete on 18 October, with internal walls finished up to the tenth floor. The frame came in a few weeks after the September target set in July.
The day after its 17th-floor slab was poured, Bayfancy set out plans for the whole level as residents' amenities, from an infinity pool and gym to a children's play area, reading room and co-working space, and showed a double-height lobby design.
By mid-July 2025 Bayfancy Residence had poured eleven floor slabs in under four months. Its sales director said the job was ten days ahead of schedule, with the frame due by September 2025, fit-out from October and handover between September and December 2026.
With the fifth-floor slab poured, Bayfancy opened sales of its 18-storey building in Hulhumalé Phase 2: one-bedroom-plus apartments from MVR 3.5 million, 3+1 suites from MVR 6.2 million and sky villas from MVR 26 million, with Bank of Maldives as mortgage partner.
On 9 March 2025 Bayfancy Residence poured its basement slab, ahead of the 20 March target the developer had set, and moved above ground: the ground-floor slab followed on 23 March and the first floor on 30 March.
Construction of Bayfancy Residence began on 1 December 2024. Within four weeks, more than 350 foundation piles had been driven 12 to 15 metres into the ground, three days ahead of plan, and steel sheet piling for the basement followed.
Bayfancy Pte Ltd, a Singapore real estate developer whose team has built large residential schemes in China, re-registered in the Maldives to build Bayfancy Residence, an apartment building in Hulhumalé.
