Renting from RCC: Blue Haven Residencies

The desk covers one building of Rasheed Carpentry and Construction, known as RCC, so far: Blue Haven Residencies, a 14-storey tower of 116 homes in Hulhumalé. Owners and listings sometimes spell it Blu or Blue Heaven; it is the same building. For tenants it has become a reliable address for the 2+1, the two-bedroom home with a third room that bends to whatever a household needs.

The signature

The developer's brief is about space and flow: high ceilings, sleek finishes, and plans in which living, dining and private rooms run into one another without wasted corridor. Homes range from 900 to 2,000 square feet across 2+1, 3+1 and penthouse plans, and the penthouses have private pools. Some homes have balconies, not all, so it is worth asking.

The homes Binga has let show what owners have made of that shell. A twelfth-floor 2+1 has custom built-in joinery, a closed kitchen with a full set of appliances, two private balconies and a view over the turquoise channel between Hulhumalé's two phases. A tenth-floor 2+1 looked straight down that channel. Another was furnished with ocean artwork and a kitchen fit for real cooking, with the third room set up for work or for children.

What the building provides

A swimming pool (one listing describes it as a rooftop pool), a fully equipped gym, commercial space, a modern foyer and a three-floor parking garage. For a tenant who drives, three floors of parking is the practical headline.

What rents look like

All figures are asking rents listed through Binga.

• 2+1, twelfth floor, channel view, 1,100 sq ft, fully furnished: listed at $2,300 a month (June 2026 listing).
• 2+1 with work or children's room, 1,200 sq ft, fully furnished: listed at $2,800 (March 2026 listing).
• A tenth-floor 2+1 with the channel view was let after being listed at $2,500 in April, and another furnished 2+1 listed at $2,500 in September has a let pending.

That puts furnished 2+1 homes at Blue Haven between $2,300 and $2,800 on recent listings.

Who it suits

• A couple who work from home, using the third room as a study.
• A small family, with the extra room as a nursery or children's room.
• A tenant who wants water in view from a high floor, on the channel side.

For larger families, ask about the 3+1 plans; Binga has not yet listed one here.
