Living at The Creek View
A building where the service lift, the enclosed kitchen and the offset windows do quiet work every day. What living here is actually like.
The things that make The Creek View pleasant are the things you stop noticing after a week, which is the highest compliment a building can get.
You never share a lift with a sofa. Furniture, maintenance and waste move through a separate service lobby and a dedicated service lift. The residents' lobby stays a lobby, and the access-controlled lifts mean the person on your floor is a resident or a guest who was let in.
The apartment stays cool without the blinds down. The floor-to-ceiling windows are set back with peripheral offsets, a small architectural decision that keeps direct heat and driving rain off the glass while letting the daylight through. Air-conditioning runs less.
The kitchen is a room. Enclosed, with its own laundry and a mini-backyard for the things that in an open-plan flat end up in the living room. Families who cook every day tell the concierge this is the reason they chose the building.
The day starts downstairs. Ground-level pool, gym, play area; the commercial floors for the errands; the bike or car out of the multi-level parking and straight onto the roads that connect Phase 1, the Phase 2 bridge and the highway to Malé and the airport.
The evening ends on the balcony, over the canal, with the neighbourhood lights across the water.
