A family's week at Aséria, as it is planned

Aséria is planned so that a family can spend most of a week inside its gate: a house with its own pool, a garden shared with the neighbours, and a clubhouse that does much of what a small town does. Nobody lives there yet, and the developer targets completion for 2027. This is the week the plans describe, for a family thinking about Hulhumalé Phase 2.

Weekday mornings

The house is vertical. Beach Dwellings are four storeys, and the Garden and Urban duplexes stack their homes over two or three floors, so the family moves between floors in the in-house lift rather than on the stairs. The brief lists a private lift, a private pool and parking for every dwelling.

That changes the start of the day. A swim is in your own pool, not a shared one on a timetable, and the car is in its own space. Leaving is through a gated community, past a guardhouse, by a residents' entrance kept separate from the visitors' gate.

Hulhumalé Phase 2, as the concierges describe it, is the newer extension of the island: high-rise, still filling in, and where much of the new supply is arriving. Aséria sits at its north-eastern edge. The neighbourhood around it is still being built, and the desk makes no claim about school or office journey times from here.

After school

This is where the clubhouse earns its place. The developer lists a kids' club, a gym, a café and a restaurant. Children have somewhere to go that is inside the gate, and parents have somewhere to sit. The Elevated Garden, a communal space on the first floor with seating and planting, works as the development's park. Garden Dwellings open directly onto it.

A parent who works from home has a business centre in the same clubhouse. The developer also lists an on-site medical call centre and a security office. For a family new to the Maldives, knowing that help is inside the gate is a comfort.

The weekend

In a Beach Dwelling, the weekend begins at the back door: the developer describes direct access to the beach from the back garden. Aséria sits near the Indian Ocean shoreline and a man-made saltwater canal. A day by the water needs no car and no plan.

The multipurpose hall in the clubhouse is there for a birthday party too big for the house. The restaurant is there for the evening nobody wants to cook. Every Beach Dwelling bedroom has its own bathroom, with 4+1 bedrooms in total, which makes room for grandparents on a long visit.

Who it will suit, and when

Aséria is designed for families who want a house rather than a flat: space across several floors, a private pool, a garden and a community with its own facilities. It suits relocating families who want the security of a gated community, and households who value an edge-of-island setting by the water over a central address.

It does not suit anyone who needs a home before completion, which is targeted for 2027. The catalogue presents the homes as an ownership opportunity for Maldivians. Rentals will depend on individual owners choosing to let, and Binga has not yet listed one.
